RMFL predictions and Shock vs. REV predictions – rumor mill central

The Wasatch REVolution football team is up against the wall this week. Listen to some of the comments from “RMFL Junkies” and what they have to say about our team in rumor mill central –

Shock @ Revolution

Chances of the Revolution’s full roster being present for their home opener? 0%.

Chances of the Revolution to build serious camaraderie this season? 0%

Chances of Golden getting on the chat room next week and throwing out excuses as to why “so and so” weren’t at the game? 100%.

The Revolution easily boast the best collection (on paper) of talent the RMFL has ever witnessed. If the roster is true, most Junior Colleges wouldn’t want to play them. Chuckypita has one year of RMFL experience under his belt and knows what is needed to win a championship. I expect great things from this defense as Coach Everest has single handedly almost put together his full defense from year’s past. Add Ragin and Shoda to his repertoire and this group of players (defense) should be banned in 48 states.

The biggest question for the Revolution (besides the validity of their roster) is how will the offense come together.

Whalen was dominant at BYU but never scared teams in the RMFL/MLFA. Toby Christensen was another solid BYU receiver (slow white guy with great hands) but has been out of commission for almost 10 years. I have serious doubts about their offensive line and the team’s unity overall.

The Shock on the other hand have all the unity a team could ever want. With the return of Mr. Everything their receiving core may be the best in the league. Just what J.Kjar needed, more weapons to throw too. They showed us last week that they have the running game to go along with a fearsome passing attack but with an injury to the Diesel (J. Christensen), they may be forced to return to their passing attack. With rain and wind in the forecast, this could prove troublesome against a defense as fast and aggressive as the Revolution’s.

Here’s another –

Utah Shock 24 @ Wasatch Revolution 21

This is my game of the week runner up. If you live near Montana check out the Blaze/Phoenix game. If you live anywhere else come check out the Shock/Revolution game. The thing that separates the two games is rivalry. The Shock are coming off a regular season game with a win and are slowly ridding themselves of all that off season rust. The Revolution have a disadvantage going into this game from the pure standpoint that they have yet to play a real game yet. They appear to have a lot of talent but it might take a few quarters to get that talent to work together in the same direction. Expect a big first half of football for the Shock as they go into the half leading 21-0. The Rev will make some half time adjustments and take this to the wire. Shock win by 3.

What’s it gonna be fellas?

    Chucky,

You left off my prediction to the score. I picked you (Revolution) to win 24-20. I like the cut and paste job but I would appreciate some credit (plaigarism???). Paste the whole article, including the score. I don’t expect you guys to perform well, but I do expect you to win.
