Wasatch Revolution – The “REV” – 9 reasons why the REV are voted in to the RMFL AAA

The Wasatch Revolution are pleased to announce the official status of RMFL AAA team.

The RMFL league owners & coaches voted for the REV 20-0 to become the newest members of the Rocky Mountain football league. Also included into the AAA league is the new St. George Blitz.

Matt Shoda, Golden Whetman, Charlie Peterson & Head Coach Eric Drage were all involved in the league presentation to the other teams in the RMFL league. When Matt Shoda got up to speak, after a professional presentation guide was presented by Golden, the meeting room packed with 40 tight went stark silent. One could hear a “pindrop” as the other RMFL team owners and GM’s were intrigued with the position of the Revolution.

Here are the 9 reasons the REV presented to the RMFL:

#1 – Management – The Wasatch Revolution are managed and operated by 3 RMFL veterans – Matt Shoda, Golden Whetman, & Charlie Peterson.

#2 – Team players - The REV have 5 former NFL roster players and nearly 30 former collegiate athletes.

#3 – Coaching staff & administrative support – The REV are coached by Head Coach Eric Drage & Everestt Matagi. Team photographer: R. Jacklin. Other support staff includes team doctor/physical therapist, equipment manager, and statistician.

#4 – Facilities - The REV have secured home field in South Jordan, Utah with Bingham High School. A brand new field turf with Jumbo-tron in south end zone.

#5 – 1280theZone – The REV home games will be broadcast live from one of Utah’s premier sports talk radio stations – 1280theZone.com
(An opportunity for the whole league?)

#6 – Sponsorships and Partnerships - The REV have secured over 14 corporate sponsorships and have successfully partnered with the West Jordan Chamber of Commerce. (WJ Chamber is larger than SJ Chamber)

#7 – Community support -
The REV have multiple interests outside of football including charity work and business networking events.

#8 – Dance team - 14 dancers are currently led by former BYU Cougarette Morgan Smith.

#9 – Marketing opportunities & “outside the box” energy and enthusiasm - The REV have built a team for long term growth and as a flagship franchise of stability in the RMFL.

After Matt Shoda and Charlie Peterson presented these 9 ideas to the RMFL league owners – including AA franchises – the Revolution were led out of the meeting room to the front of the hotel. Then, the voting took place, and the REV were voted in 20-0!

Now – the real work – and the real fun – can begin for the Wasatch Revolution

Wasatch Revolution prepares for RMFL League Meetings

The Wasatch Revolution are prepared for the Rocky Mountain Football league meetings that will take place in Pocatello, Idaho on Friday, Jan.30 and Saturday, Jan. 31.

There are many obligations that the Revolution must showcase in order to be included into the league.

#1 – The REV must provide documentation of playing field facility.

#2 – The REV must provide a 10 minute presentation to league board members and other participating RMFL teams.

#3 – The REV must disclose a roster of a minimum of 30 players.

Currently, the Wasatch Revolution have a solid roster of players who are on board. This will be announced in full light at the RMFL meetings and the Rev will begin holding “official” practices the first Saturday in March after league results & schedule have been announced.
